This local project is a partnership between United Way and the Marine Reserves. The project is held in November to assist local families in need of Christmas gifts for their children. This project delivers a message of hope.
Day of Caring is a mobilization of volunteers to celebrate the spirit of giving through service by providing a day of meaningful volunteer opportunities to individuals of the community. Volunteers are assigned to assist the elderly and homebound folks of our community and tackle volunteer projects. No matter what your interest or skills, there is an opportunity for you to get involved. Some projects may include painting a room, cleaning out a flowerbed.
